MAY AT MAYROON
THEY ARE THE SAME BUT THEY ARE DIFFERENT IN TERMS OF SENTENCE STRUCTURE.
May and Mayroon are the same as there is/are and have/has
Use “MAY” followed by
1. NOUN(S)
With a subject pronoun in the sentence
May regalo ako para sa iyo. (I have a gift for you.)
(INVERTED: Ako ay may regalo para sa iyo.)
May pera ako sa bulsa ko. ( I have money in my pocket.)
(INVERTED: Ako ay may pera sa bulsa ko.)
May pera siya sa bangko. (she has money in the bank.)
(INVERTED: Siya ay may pera sa bangko.)

Without a subject pronoun in the sentence
May regalo para sa iyo. (There is a gift for you.)
May pera sa bulsa ko. (There is some money in my pocket.)
(INVERTED: Sa bulsa ko ay may pera.)
May tao sa labas. ( There is a person outside.)
(INVERTED: Sa labas ay may tao.)
May bagyo na darating. (There is a typhoon coming.)

2. VERB
May sumasayaw sa party.( it means=There is someone who is dancing at the party or Someone is dancing at the party)
May kumain ng pagkain ko. (it means=There was someone who ate my food or Someone ate my food.)
May kumagat sa akin. (it means=There is something bit me or something bit me.)
3. ADJECTIVES
PRONOUN
May bago kaming aklat. (May bagong aklat kami.)
(We have new books.)
(INVERTED: Kami ay may bagong aklat)
May bagong bahay sila. (May bago silang bahay.)
(They have new house.)
(INVERTED: Sila ay may bagong bahay.)

SUBJECT-complement
Ang plato ay may basag. (The plate has a crack.)
(INVERTED: May basag ang plato. There is a crack on the plate)
Ang isda ay may mabahong amoy. (The fish has stinky smell).
(INVERTED: May mabahong amoy ang isda.)

May bagong aklat. (there is a new book.)
May bagong kotse sa garahe. (There is a new car in the garage.)

4. May + Mga(plural noun)
May mga langgam sa pagkain. (there are ants on the food.)
May mga tao sa pulong. (There are people in the meeting.)
May mga bisita na dumating sa amin.(There were visitors came
to us.)
5. May + SA + Noun
May sa daga kung magtago ang batang yan. Siya ay mahirap hanapin. (She/He like a mouse when she/he hides. She/He difficult to find.)

Use “MAYROON” followed by
1. Pronouns (ako,ikaw ,siya, kita, ka,tayo etc)
Mayroon akong pera sa bulsa. ( I have money in my pocket.)
Mayroon siyang pera sa bangko. (she has money in the bank.)
Matroon akong regalo para sa iyo. (I have a gift for you.)
Mayroon akong pagsusulit sa susunod na lingo.
( I have an examination next week.)
Mayroon kang pera.(You have money.)
Mayroon silang bagong kotse.(They have a new car.)
2. Mayroon+ word (ba,daw,nga etc)
Mayroon din akong bagong aklat. (I have a new book too.)
Mayroon daw bagyong darating (there is a typhoon coming.)

(Mayroon + ba is a question)
Mayroon ka bang pera?( Do you have money?)
Mayroon ba kayong barbeque?( Do you have barbeque?)

(When you heard BA, it means it is a question. But the usage of BA depends on what noun or pronoun after it)

Mayroon ka bang pera?(2nd person singular)
Do you have money?
Mayroon ba silang bagong bahay?(3rd person plural)
Do they have new house?
Mayroon ba siyang laruan? (3rd person singular)
Does she have a toy?
Mayroon ba akong pagkain?
Do I have food?
