I would like to become fluent in Portuguese so that I can serve as a missionary in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. I would also like to be able to speak Portuguese as I plan to attend the world cup hosted by Brazil in 2014. I have never studied Portuguese before, but I have very little past experience attempting to learn Spanish and Italian. I will be able to dedicate a day to two days a week to lessons with a tutor, but will practice continually. I would like to find a teacher that is fully fluent in both Portuguese and English, and someone who is patient in their teaching.

Hi, I am a pharmacy student at the University of Pittsburgh looking to learn Brazilian Portuguese as I am a part of a growing project to disseminate a diabetes education program to pharmacists in Brazil. I am leaving for my first trip to Brazil in May and would like to continue to learn until I have attained advanced skills. I am currently a beginner and need to improve in all aspects of this language. I am looking to participate in lessons more frequently during the summer months (2-3 times per week) and 1-2 times per week during the school year. I am looking for a teacher who is relatively flexible, patient and helps me to stay on track.
