I am a beginner.
I would like to learn Swahili because I will be travelling to rural Tanzania next January to teach HIV/AIDS education to teenagers. I will be living there for eight months with a Tanzanian family.
I will need mostly conversationa l instruction. However, it would be useful to learn grammar as well.
Ideall y I would like to have lessons 1-2 times a week. This of course depends on the cost and location of the instructor.
I am looking for someone who is experienced and dedicated. I would also prefer somebody who is located in the district or very nearby as I live in Washington DC and work in Northern Virginia.

Hi there!
I'm looking for a teacher/tutor that knows swahili spoke in East Africa, Tanzania. I just got back from living in Bagamoyo for six months (a village on the coast of the Indian Ocean in Tanzania). I plan to go back in about one year and when I do so, I want to be fluent in Swahili! I did learn some while I was there, but not from a teacher. So I need help with grammer and rules mainly. I would like to get tutored as much as I need to to learn the language! I was thinking once a week for as long as a year possibly!? Hope to hear back from someone soon!
