My husband has a work opportunity in Shanghai so we will be relocating end October/Novem ber. We both want to leatn Mandarin before we go.
We dont have any Mandarin proficiency so therefore both are beginners.
W e will need grammar, conversation and understanding courses where possible.
We can see teacher 3 times per week in the evenings if needed
As long as the teacher has lots of patience and good understanding of both languages we will be fine!

I'm a 17 year old who has just graduated from high school. I did the IB in which i took the subject Mandarin in a beginner's level. The course was not satisfying as our teacher could not attend classes for 6 months in between and we had to speed up the learning level and the end result was confusion. I would like to learn the language because I have this passion for learning it in fluency. I would call myself in between a beginner and intermediate. I would like to spend at least an hour each day, face to face with the teacher. I want my teacher to be a native with good speaking skills who could also talk about the culture in China.
