I'm studying Chinese for personal growth and potential career advancement. I'm an American on assignment in Manila and while here would like to begin to learn. I am currently enrolled at the Mandarin Training Center of ShiDa in Taiwan however working and being enrolled is too stressful so I'm coming back to Manila where I hope to meet with a tutor for 10 hours a week starting Oct 2010.
For me learning to speak would be preferred and the writing is less important in the beginning. As I travel between the US and Manila, I hope to continue my studies through Skype or other online technologies.
