I work globally and interact on a regular basis with my co-workers in Asia. By learning chinese I will be more effective when working with many of my Asian co-workers and suppliers. In addition, I'm attempting to get a relocation to Bejing within the next 3-5 years and knowing Chinese will be a great selling point.
I'm definitely a beginner, and I'm currently only fluent in my native language. I'd like to focus on the basics with conversation being far more important than grammar.
I n regards to availability, I'd was thinking one hour per week for face to face (or video chat) and than another 1-3 hours per week of self study.

Hello..
I have been in Taiwan for about 2 1/2 years. I have taken several private lessons and have also learned by living in smaller areas such as Hualien. I currently live in Hsinchu. I want to learn more Chinese because I eventually want to attend Taidung University to get my Masters in Aborigine studies. I wish to study the Shamans. In order to be successful I need to learn more Chinese.
I am also about to have a baby. So, I need a teacher that is flexible. I am a good student and have the tenacity to learn.
