I have became a Buddhist some years ago, and I find that most of the temples are Chinese and Vietnamese. Chinese being more numerous and accessable. The majority of the information is provided in Manderian.
Furthermore, the majority of the monks, nuns, and followers communicate in this language. English speaking people and information in this community are not so numerous. The people in this community are very warm and welcoming, but because of the language barrier there is always a feeling of unententional isolation that I wish to eliminate.
I feel that by learning to read and speak in this language I will be able to create a bridge for myself and others
