I'm interested in learning Korean. From 2008 until 2009, I lived in Korea (경1 345;남&# 46020; 고Ǯ 57;군) and I fell in love with the culture and the language. It can easily be said that I'm learning Korean simply for the pleasure of it.
My level is low intermediate. I can read 한ƽ 44; effortlessly, and I understand most grammar points. My conversation skills are atrocious since leaving Korea. I would like someone to practice listening and speaking with and someone to answer questions I might have.
I'm a dedicated self-learner of Korean, having taken no lessons up until now. I would like an instructor who can help me reach the next level. My background includes an English degree with a focus on linguistics, and I've spent a few years teaching English as a second language. I have plenty of friends that I can practice conversation with, but I need someone patient and professional to explain the finer points to me.
I travel quite a bit, and so my free time varies from month to month. My schedule is flexible, but subject to change. As I said, I study a lot on my own, so I'm hoping for a teacher who can get me started on a lesson and let me perfect it in my free time. I suspect my bank account will allow for one or two hours of online lessons each week.

I have 2 kids age 10 and 13. We speak Cantonese at home, since my children are born here, they both speak English almost at all times. They have been taking Chinese lessons since kindergarten through the heritage program provided by the government, but I don't find it very successful. I would like them to try private lessons instead.
