I´m visiting in Brazil for a month and I´d like to learn Portuguese, while I´m here. It is coming very slowly independently , so I thought I might see about taking a few lessons. I am a beginner, but I do some Spanish, which is slightly helpful. My major problem is comprehension I´ve been here for a few weeks and I still have a hard time understanding the most basic questions. If you have time please send me an e-mail. I´m checking on language schools today, but I´m not having much luck.

I want to learn portugese ( from portugal) because I'm half portugese n half pakistani but lived in pakistan for 9 years so learned urdu but never learned portugese as I left when I was only 5. My grandparents would love for me to be able to speak in portugese with them and its about time I learn the other half of my self. I'm a fast learner, learned french in 6 months, and am looking for a teacher, school that can offer first the basics and then allow me to practice, practice, practice because I want to able to speak portugese fluently by the time I'm done my training. I go to university so am also looking for very flexible timings for my lessons.

I would like to learn to speak Brazilian Portuguese because I have been visiting Rio de Janeiro once or twice each year for the past five years.
I have made friends in Brazil and I would like to be able to have conversations with them.
I would be able to spend as much as two hours each week night (after work, I get off at 5:30 p.m.)and any time Saturday afternoon (I work 7:00-12:00) and anytime on Sunday.
I would prefer my teacher be a native of Brazil and have some experience in teaching.
