I would like to learn Japanese and Korean because I am fascinated by their culture and way of life. Japanese, or all of Japan, first peaked my interest back 10 years ago with the anime and the video games I saw coming out here. I was hooked and wanted to learn more about their language and culture and plan on visiting Tokyo some day. Korean was introduced to me more recently. One day at school a friend noticed I was into Japanese pop songs, so he decided to introduce me to this female Korean group called So nyeo shi dae (SNSD). I got addicted to them and two years later I still am. I decided to turn my two addictions of anime and Korean pop songs into a learning experience and hopefully enjoy them more.
My level Would have to be beginner for both Japanese and Korean. I would like to say that I'm good at pronunciation in both Japanese and Korean, only because I like to sing along to my favorite Japanese pop and Korean pop songs, but I've never been evaluated by a professional.
I've never had a tutor before so I don't know how things work, but I am willing to dedicate as much time as i can and will give 100% on my lessons.
I would like a teacher who is active in their lessons, I learn by experience and a hands-on type of way, not to keen on lectures alone.
