I am learning portuguese to travel in brasil and portugal and i want to live in brasilwithin 2 years. I have just spent 3 months there. I am also travelling to portugal in Uune this year for 3 months.I would say my level is beginner to intermediate. (Not basic beginner). I need to improve grammar and speaking. My listening is ok. I want 1- 2 lessons per week and do private study, as well I have brasilian friends to practise with. I want a teacher who will push me and speak only in portuguese, and make me do alot of homework.

I am a Portuguese Canadian who comes from a family where my parents always spoke english. They are fluent in portuguese, but have not taken the time to teach me and my siblings. I understand quite a bit, but have a fear of speaking considering I do not pronounciate well. There are also alot of words I do not know. I would like to learn my native tongue and finally be able to speak to family whom I cannot communicate with because of the language barrier. I need to surpass my fear, learn to speak fluently and pronounciate. I am not very concerned with the reading and writing aspect, I would just like to conversate properly. I am considering myself as a beginner. I am looking for a teacher who is very patient and kind, and who can cooperate well with me. I'm looking forward to a lesson or two a week. I can attend classes, but I'd also prefer one on one.
