I am learning Portuguese to help me complete field-work during a Fulbright scholarship in Brazil from March-Decembe r of 2012. I am an advanced-inte rmediate level, but I need to improve my pronunciation (I speak fluent Spanish, and have a thick Spanish accent while speaking Portuguese). I would like to dedicate a few hours each day to language lessons in a group setting, 4-5 days/week. In a teacher, I think that patience and a vibrant and engaging personality are key. I want to learn conversationa l and functional Portuguese in a laid-back, yet productive atmosphere.

I met the love of my life and he is from Portugal. I am planning to visit his family in Portugal and would love to know some Portuguese before I go there.
