I have been studying arabic at the university of Ottawa, also at the university of Tunis in Tunisia, but I havent spoken it for a while. I am studying arabic because it is amongst the most beautiful langage, plus I like the arabic culture. I really need to have conversations not to lose the langage. At least 4-5 hours a week, maybe more. I am looking for a devoted teacher, patient, who can explain well.

I would like to learn the pronounciatio n of the Portugese language for the purpose of career advancement. I am a jazz vocalist and I need help with the beautiful bossa nova song lyrics of Jobim. I would like to dedicate a lesson per song in order to look closely at the lyrics. I am a beginner. The quality I am looking for in a teacher is flexibility in lesson planning so we can concentrate on the lyrics text, basic grammar, and culture.

I am learning the language because I live in Brazil and want to converse and do simmple business transactions with natives.
I read very well. I have a good understanding of grammer. I can understand oral TV news and write reasonably well. I would thus rate myself intermediate overall.
I can't seem to explain the following to tutors: I am unable to understand natives when they converse normally with one another. This is what I above all want to learn. I also need to improve my own oral expression. At this point it does not matter to me if my grammer is not perfect.
I would like to study about 2 hours per day, five days a week.
I would like a tutor who will converse with me and knows how to spell out words for me, improve my pronunciation , and knows the use of current informal expression. I WANT TO BE ABLE TO TALK WITH PEOPLE IN THE STREET.
