I want to learn Portuguese to advance in my career and also because I am interested in Portuguese language and culture. I am a beginner of Portuguese but I am proficient in French and English. Being a beginner I feel I need to work on all aspects of the Portuguese language right from the basics onwards. Last year I started latin dancing and now I'm planning to go to Brazil in February 2013.
I want to learn Portuguese for lots of reasons, mostly to keep an active mind and talk to brazilians when I'm in Brazil.
I have some basic vocabulary and keep working at expanding it. Have some brazilian movies on order.
I believe the best way to learn a language is by listening to it, speaking it, and reading & writing it. I aim to spend an hour a day at it, but that doesn't always happen.
