After graduating from a regular university in computer science & visual arts, I worked for serveral years but have always felt inspired & challenged when meeting a person that I cannot communicate & connect with. So I am taking the time to learn Chinese. I love the culture, the food, & the people which are a good example in many ways of friendliness, health, & generosity.
I am currently in Yangshuo but am being told that Chengdu would be a better place to study. I am planning to head to Chengdu after some basic instruction here in Yangshuo, which should be by the 23rd of this month (October) if not sooner. It would be great to connect with someone who knows the area & the language.
I studied Mandarin for a year in the US which feels like nothing now that I am here since I can't seem to understand many people. A flexible teacher that can incorporate easy music (to sing along with or simply listen to & understand) would be ideal since repetition seems to be the key with me. since I seem to learn by seeing & experience/us e best.
I'm probably writing too much. It's usually best to meet & see..

Madam, Sir,
I will arrive in ZhengZhou about the 15th of October for a duration of approximative ly one year and perhaps more for working. So, I would like to learn chinese (mandarin) in order to better discover the country and the culture and also to be able to live by myself !
In spite of chinese lessons in my country (France), I think it is necessary to start from the beginning and could dedicate few hours per day to learn the language.
I am looking for lessons that teach me the basic chinese language and reading to be able to communicate properly with people.

Hello,
I'm a danish university student, who has taken a year off from my studies. In this time I would like to see the world and besides that learn chinese on a beginner level. My idea is to spend maybe 2 or 3 months in Chengdu where a basically can dedicate most of my time learning spoken chinese. I don't think its realistic to learn written chinese, in this time, with my latin-letter background, but I'm open.
