My boyfriend is a Malayali and I would love to learn the language. Although my native tongue is Hindi, many of my friends in college happened to be Malayalis so I was able to pick up few of the nuances and can follow very basic conversations (I think). However, I'd love to learn the language properly.
Since I'm currently doing my MBA, I can devote only about 3-4 hours per week. I would like to gain atleast a conversationa l proficiency.
I am looking for a friendly teacher with a structured approach towards learning.

Hello,
I am interested in learning Malayalam for use around family, and friends. I am a beginner in Malayalam, however, I have some knowledge of Tamil through movies, family, and friends. I would like to improve my conversation, grammar, reading comprehension and written skills in Malayalam. I hope to dedicate approximately 1 hour a week to learning Malayalam.
A suitable teacher must have the following qualities:
- Must be patient, and encouraging,
- Must have teaching resources to teach from,
- Must not be affiliated with a language learning institution,
- Must be a native Malayalam speaker from the Indian state of Kerala.
A suitable teacher must have the following capabilities:
- Must be able to host lessons for 1 hour a week,
- Must reside in the Downtown Toronto area,
- Must speak the Travancore dialect of Malayalam,
- Must also speak English, or Tamil as a lingua franca,
