Hello. Since I first placed an ad using this site, I have retired and now have a more flexible schedule. I could easily find time for 1 hour or 90 minute lessons 2-3 times per week.
I have been using the Duoling online format for learning which has given me fairly good reading skills, but my conversationa l skills are not good. I don't have friends who are willing to speak Spanish with me at my current level.

Reason for learning: Currently living and working in Chile and wishing to spend around a year in Chile/Latin America.
C urrently at beginner level in Spanish. Have done a total of about 10 hours tutoring in a group context before.
Wo rking full-time and so have limited time for language study. Would look to have a maximum of 5 hours a week for tuition.

My name is Brian Hansen. I am a 23 year college student currently studying Spanish at the Andres Bello university. I am studying Spanish because I am interesting in foreign languages. I am a business major so being bilingual is an asset to my resume.
Last semester I studied in Alicante, Spain. Before arriving in Spain I was not able to speak a word of Spainsh. I need to work on my grammar, practicing speaking and most importantly my pronuciation.
I was thinking about dedicating about 3-4 hours a week to working with a private tutor.

Native speaker of Spanish (preferably Chilean) - experience teaching Spanish as a second language preferred. Looking for a dynamic teacher willing to teach 2 small groups of North American students (4-8), potentially of mixed levels and needs. They will have classes once a week Wednesday afternoons preferably 15:00-17:00 one hour for the less advanced and one hour for the more advanced catering to the needs (including homework) and abilities of the students. 14 weeks April-June - 2005.
