I am planning on traveling across Russia this summer. I speak basically no Russian but have taught myself the Cyrillic alphabet (print, not handwriting) and have extensive experience in learning other languages, including German.
Of course I want to learn basic travel phrases, but I want to go a bit beyond that to basic conversation, reading, and grammar. Lessons would be about 90 minutes once per week, with assigned homework (ungraded, just to give me some reinforcement ). I have a textbook we can use.

I already can speak 3 widely spoken languages (english, chinese and spanish), I want to learn a forth language I can use in Beijing. Due to russian community is big here I think is the best option.

I'm looking for Russian teacher that is open-minded and lives in Beijing.
Fro m January 2012 I will live in Bejing to study Chinese. Next to it, I want to start with Russian. I'm an absolute beginner. A Bachelor degree is not a must have but a plus. You should have teaching experience for beginner levelers.
I'm willing to spend much time and effort into my study. That's why I would take 8-10 lessons a week.
