I am a British company director living in the Algarve and learnig Portuguese. I am coming to Perth for five weeks from the end of December and would like to continue to develop my Portuguese. I am largely self taught (currently doing Michel Thomas advanced CD course) and use my Portuguese daily. I would estimate I am at lower intermediate level. Therefore I am looking for a teacher who either in person, by webcam or email who can help particulary with listening/con versation skills. We have 3 children aged 12,10 and 8. Their father is Brazilian and the mother English. We are planning to spend some time in Brazil at the end of the year and would like the children to be able to communicate competently in Portuguese (they already have some rudimentary knowledge of the language).
We are particularly interested in verbal communication (conversation ) and would appreciate 1-hour lessons once or twice per week until early December 09.
We are looking for a teacher who is able to communicate well with children and who will encourage them to develop an active interest for the language and Brazilian culture.
