Hi there!
I am starting a job placement in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in April 2012. I am a beginner and want to be able to converse with locals outside the office - I am unlikely to need to know Brazilian Portuguese for work purposes. I am currently doing both Pimsleur and Rosetta Stone courses, but want to spend time with a native speaker to consolidate and improve my learning. I am interested in learning Portuguese language because I am planning on living in Brazil in 3 years time. I do not currently have any skills in this language. I want to ne fluent in this language including all fields of study. I am planning on dedicating as much time as needed in order to successfully learn the language in the time that I have. Hi,
my boyfriend is brazilian and we are visiting his family at the end of the year, i speak portuese at a very very basic level and would like to advance this quite significantly by the end of the year. I am interested in having an hour lesson a day monday to thursday, i am currently at uni doing my masters so would be free from 9am-4pm and live in the cbd. i am mostly iterested in having speaking orientated lessons and grammer.

I did 6 months as a student exchange in Portugal and came away with only basic Portuguese skills...that was in 1996 and I don't even remember the little that I did know. I enjoy learning and would like to learn the language properly.
I' m looking to take one class a week, one on one with a Brazilian teacher as I have taken some classes but my teacher is no longer teaching and I might as well stick with the new pronunciation s!
I am looking for a friendly teacher who is patient and with a good sense of humour.
