I have taken a years basic Portuguese lessons and tried a short conversation class with a Brazilian teacher, but these lessons were not well supported and finished. My son and his family are living in Brazil and I spent a month there last year. I want to be able to chat to my daughter-in-l aws's family and to my little Grandson, whose first language is Portuguese. He is nearly two and already has some English as well but I want to do this for my daughter-in-l aw and her family. I have 'A' levels in French and Spanish and a linguistic based degree so hope I will be ableto learn reasonably quickly.

I will be working in Porto Alegre for two months. During this time I would like to take lessons in Brazilian Portuguese. I have a very basic knowledge of Brazilian Portuguese and I also speak spanish at an intermediate level. I am looking for about 4 hours of classes per week during weekends or evenings. I would like to learn how to write and speak Portuguese, and be able to speak in basic conversation. I would like to live in Portugal in the near future and have friends and family there and so would like to begin to learn the language. I am a complete beginner and would like a lesson every week if possible. I am not too flexible with my time and Sundays are the best day for me as I am still in full time educationand have school commitments on Saturdays.
