I am a beginner. I'm of Polish decent and wish to learn the language for a trip next year. I'm the first generation in my family not to speak Polish and wish to change this. The time I'd perfer to dedicate is 2 nights a week, with some homework assignments for a Sunday. Qualities I desire in a teacher are patients, respectfulnes s, and willingness to explain. I am a beginner. I've never taken any Polish language classes before.
I want to learn for my own enjoyment. I think Polish sounds really beautiful, and I think it's fun to learn new languages. (I speak French.)
I can dedicate a couple of hours per week to classes, and a couple more to homework.
I' m looking for a teacher who can explain things clearly and is patient. Someone who is professional but who can make it fun. I'm looking to do this as a hobby, after all.
