I am a program coordinator for Portland Community college. My Korean teacher is moving away from Portland and I am looking for a replacement. Do you have a Korean teacher I can contact who might be interested in teaching for PCC. The teacher will not need to have a Master degree. He or she will be teaching for Community Education program.

I am interested in learning to speak and understand Korean. I listen to a lot of Korean music and because of that, became interested in the language. I would like to take a trip there, but would like to be able to speak the language or atleast have a better understanding of it before I plan a trip. Plus, I just want to learn to understand the music I listen to. I would be a beginner. I'm not really interested in reading and writing. I just want to speak and understand as quickly as possible. I am willing to spend whatever time it takes. I am available Sunday, Monday anytime, and all other days in the evenings.

To Whom it may concern,
I have always had an interest in Asian cultures, Korean and Japanese in particular.
I am very much a beginner, having not had lessons in either language.
My interest in learning this/these language/s is for personal growth. I am also planning to visit both countries in the next 2 years.
My schedule can afford one or two days a week on lessons, currently.
I seek to learn not only the language/s but also much about the culture/s ie: Customs (family,socia l etc), Cuisine, Propper Etiquette in social situations as well as spirituality/ mythology.
