Good Afternoon
I am wishing to learn the basics of Japanese language. I am currently unfamilar with the language.
There is a chance that next year (from Feb 2005) that I will be working in Japan and therefore will obviously need to communicate.
I am looking for a teacher that will teach the basics, with a focus on verbal communication s of a practical nature. I would like to work out common goals and objectives for the lesson so I learn what I need to to be able to communicate with confidence.

I have studied Japanese in the past. 1999 completed Certificate III in Applied Language (Japanes) Gold Cost Institute of TAFE. But as I have not had a chance to practice the spoken word, I have forgotten most of it. I am needing language lessons for work. I am a computer support technician and we will be working with our colleagues in Japan more closely in the future. I need to learn business Japanese.

My level is intermediate. I know hiragana and katakana and a handful of kanji. I just got back from a trip to japan for a couple of months. I learned written and spoken japanese from books and tapes before I went to Japan, and spoke in japanese to nihonjin in Japan. But my japanese is lacking so I want to improve it before I go back to Japan in May.
I want to work and live in Japan, so I want to improve my social and business-leve l japanese, as well as kanji.
I would like to start as soon as possible and continue through to april.
