My name is Juan and I have spoken English all my life. I am a high school graduate. I want to learn Japanese because I've always been interested in that language and culture. I want to learn spoken but also written Japanese. I am looking to have one lesson per week and I will dedicate my free time to study the material that is given to me. I want a teacher who is very approachable, passionate, patient, and knowledgeable on the Japanese language.

I have taken a year of Spanish at the University level. I enjoyed the experience, but have lost most of my linguistic skills in the language.
I also self-taught myself Japanese while working as a driver for the province. I was using Pimsleur on my iPod.
I have always wanted to be proficient in another language, but have never kept up a language program long enough to become fluent.
