I am an US born Jordanian and would like to learn the language of my father. I had a tutor three years ago and I learned a great deal but it was only for the summer and when school started my tutor stop giving lessons. I am 11 years old and want to learn to speak, read and write Arabic. I have a very small grasp on the language so I think starting from the begining would be best for me. In regards to the time I want to dedicate to my lessons, I feel what ever the teacher thinks is appropriate would be best for me. The qualities I am looking for in a teacher is someone who is willing to help a child of my age and has the capacity to deal with children of my age also. I am a true beginner. Absolutely am in love with the culture. I would like to become somewhat better in understanding and speaking. I am a fast learner. Tried using Japanese CDs but i get nothing out of it. no language or culture.I would like a japanese teacher. male or female, young female mostly=pgood teacher, good teaching methods. I would like my lessons to be fun, interactive, and challenging at sometimes. I am willing to dedicate afternoons 4-6pm mon,tues,thur s and fri. 4-8 on wed. anytime weekends.

I really would like to become fluent in Spanish conversation. My current conversation level is probably intermediate. Although I can read and understand at a more advanced level. My knowledge of the language is in part to picking it up from the people around me growing up and some self study. I would perfer my teacher to be a native speaker, but am willing to consider anyone. The main reason for that is that I'm not necessarly doing it to advance in my career, but rather because many people around me (family, friends, etc.) speak it fluently, i would also like to. Given that I would also like to learn to understand more slang, humor, jokes, idioms, etc.
