I am not sure how to classify my proficiency level. I have been using the Japanese for Busy People Series (Volumes I, II, III). I am in the first half of Book III...so I know a fair amount of grammar, probably know about 1500 words, and I am using the Heisig method to study Kanji. So I would guess maybe upper level Beginner.
I am learning Japanese b/c in a year or so I will be going to Japan to do an elective clerkship there, and eventually I would like to maybe try and find a job as a professor.
I am mostly in need of conversation practice. I can effectively teach myself most grammar structures, though occasionally I require assistance.
I some time every day devoted to studying Japanese, usually around between 1 and 2 hours. I am quite busy with other school work but I can always find time.

I am looking for language teachers/tuto rs for my 2 daughters. Their ages are 12 and 13. We are homeschooling so our schedule is somewhat flexible. They are computer proficient, and will have no trouble with online acitvites. We do not nesessarily need one-on-one interaction.
