I am an absolute beginner, 47 year old male. I wish to learn Chinese for both business and personal conversation with friends in Beijing. I do not know what type of program I will need, but have not had success with CD's while driving. I am willing to dedicate several hours per week, up to an hour per day to learn/practic e. I think I am looking for patience and some teaching expertise with adult learners in my teacher.
