1. Why you are learning Sanskrit:
I am learning Sanskrit because I want to deeply understand Indian philosophy, classical texts, and traditional knowledge. It is also important for my academic and cultural interests, as well as for personal growth and spiritual exploration.
2. Your proficiency level:
I am a beginner. I have little to no formal training in Sanskrit so far.
3. Areas you want to improve:
I would like to improve my understanding of grammar, sentence construction, reading comprehension , and basic conversation skills. Eventually, I also want to be able to read classical texts and scriptures.
4. Time you can dedicate:
I can dedicate around 1–2 hours per day to my Sanskrit lessons, depending on the complexity of the material.
5. Qualities you are looking for in lessons/teach er:
I am looking for a teacher who is patient, explains concepts clearly, provides practical examples, and encourages both reading and speaking practice. A teacher who can connect Sanskrit learning with philosophy, culture, and classical texts would be ideal.
