I am proficient in English.
I am a beginner at Japanese, having learned it from watching anime. I can understand many Japanese words and basic sentences. I cannot read Kanji or other scripts.

I have recently moved to Pune and want to learn Hindi to enable me to converse with locals, get by when out shopping and to negotiate better rickshaw prices. I will be finding a job in the near future but for now I'm available every week day and I'm willing to set aside a couple of hours each day to learn. I've been told Hindi is the language to learn but I'm open to discuss if Hindi or Marathi would suit me better.
