I am based in Bristol, UK, but have a 15 day visa for Iran this summer.
I am looking for a Persian teacher while I am there. If anyone in the Bristol area also speaks or teaches Persian, I would be keen to hear from you too.
I want to learn Persian because I love the middle east, its peoples and cultures, and think Iran is a great place to start. I am interested in Farsi and Dari and learning how they are similar and different.
I have been self studying for some time, and can read and write the alphabet and have a small but growing vocabulary. I can count and am starting to understand basic grammar.
I need development in all areas of the langauge. As I have only a short time in Iran, I just want exposure to the language and anything that will help make day to day interactions more successful.
I have a visa for 15 days, and if I can't get it extended I would like to spend up to 10 days doing intensive study of Persian. A break in between would be best.
I would like a teacher who is flexible, accommodating and open-minded, who will respond well to my fast learning pace and enthusiasm and help to use my enthusiasm and commitment to get maximum progress in a short time. I would also like work to take away to do in my own time.

I'm learning language as part of a study abroad. I am at a high-intermed iate level. I need improvement reading, and plenty of practice speaking. I would like to study as much as my funding allows, which will depend on the price of classes. For a teacher, I'd like a native speaker who either does not know English or will agree not to speak English.
