Dear Prospective Teacher,
My husband is Chinese and speaks Mandarin very well however he is unable to teach myself and my daughter due to his long work hours. My daughter and I have had exposure to Mandarin through casual interactions with my husband and his family however we are eager to learn in a more structured, consistent setting. Thus, we are interested in classes for both adults and preschoolers.

The most help i would need improvement in is grammar...I am a pretty fast learner when it comes to languages but i would have to say i would dedicate my time into this maybe twice a week...The qualities i would look for in my teacher would be not to strict but motivating... less casual talk more into the lesson...maki ng up new fun ways with the curriculum.

I am a beginner. My father is Filipino from Subic Bay and I want to speak the language. My family speaks both Ilocano and Tagalog. I want to start with Tagalog. I hope to bless my grandmother by speaking to her in her native tongue and I have desires to be a singer and dancer in that language. I want to learn as fast as possible and if the teacher is good at teaching my language- I am willing to be committed to them. I'd like to be an intermediate and able to converse within 9 months. I want a teacher who knows the culture and who is native to it. One who can explain well and teach visually. I'd like the majority of our lessons to be in Tagalog and for her to provide homework and hands on activities.
