I am looking for a Polish school in the San Diego vacinity. I would like my 2 1/2-year-old daughter to attend a Polish pre-school once or twice a week if offered and eventually would like to supplement that with home schooling through the junior high school level. My husband & mother-in-law speak Polish and were born there (my husband moved here as an infant but still spoke Polish at home growing up). Please advise if there are any Polish schools at all in the San Diego area either at the toddler level or more advanced so I know for the future as well. Thank you very much.

I am a beginner, I do not know any polish. I want to learn because I live in a polsih neighborhood. I will need to start at the beginning; even if I just learn to understand at first and not be able to speak, that's fine. I will dedicate whatever time is necessary. I will need a patient teacher who will enjoy helping me. This is very important to me.

I am a native English speaker who studied Polish for 2 years: 1 year at Harvard University with Prof. Anna Baranczak, and 1 year in Krakow, Poland with Stanislaw Medak at the Institut Polonijny of UJ. I am now living and working in the US, and would like to continue studying Polish so that some day I can return to Poland to pursue graduate studies or conduct research, or simply to live and work.
I would like to spend about 3hrs/week studying Polish, but this will depend on the cost of lessons.
I am seeking a teacher who is not only trained to teach Polish as a foreign language, but who is also knowledgeable of, and interested in, Polish literature and history, as I would eventually like to read Polish tests in these areas.
