I AM WRITING THIS ON BEHALF OF MY BOYFRIEND. HE WENT TO SEVERAL SESSIONS IN AN INSTITUTE BUT THIS DID NOT WORK WITH HIM. HE DID NOT LIKE IT BECAUSE OTHERS STUDENTS SPEND MOST OF THE TIME TALKING AND IN REALITY HE DID NOT LEARN MUCH. HE WORKS WITH THE MAJORITY OF CO-WORKERS BEING HISPANIC. HE MAINLY UNDERSTANDS TERMS DIRECTLY RELATED WITH HIS JOB SINCE HE IS THE ONLY ONE THAT KNOWS SOME ENGLISH AND SPEAKS WITH THE ARCHITECTS AND HOME BUILDERS. HE WANTS TO LEARN ENGLISH TO BETTER HIMSELF AND TO GET HIS GED, FUTURE CAREER ADVANCEMENT, AS WELL. NEEDS HELP IN GRAMMAR, CONVERSATION, WRITING AND PRONUNCIATION . WANTS TO DEDICATE BETWEEN 2-3 HOURS DAILY IF POSSIBLE. TO HAVE PATIENCE AND EXPLAIN THOROUGHLY THE LANGUAGE.

I realize that to become proficient in any language, I will need a teacher/tutor . I want to learn Italian because I would like to start churches in several key cities in Italy and need to learn some basic language skills. I no zero Italian, but have a Ph.D. in communication s so I believe I can learn quickly. I am 62 years old and have my own business as I travel and speak for a living. I was formally a pastor for 13 years and a university professor. I would like to take an hourly lesson per week and study in between. I can start immediately.

I am a beginner. I am a beginner and wish to travel to Italy in the fall of 2006. My grandparent immigrated to USA in 1914 from Italy and were never able to return. I wish to visit the homeland of my family and explore both my heritage and the wonderful country. I understood my grandparents dialect as a child but was never expected to speak Italian so I never did. I have recently purchased some books and CD's for self study but wish to have lessons one on one so that I may become fluent.

I have taken two beginner-leve l courses, one at SMU (continuing education program) and one at Alliance Français de Dallas. I feel like I'm not quite to the Intermediate level. I'm learning French to broaden my horizons and learn about French culture. I feel like I need improvement in grammar and conversation. I would like to have 1 hour-long private lesson per week for an indefinite period of time. I'm looking for a teacher that is organized and will push me to develop rapidly.
