I am at a beginner level of Japanese, but since I am preparing to go to Japan to work at the end of this year, I find I need improvement in all areas. I took lessons a while back, but currently do self-study and realize that is not enough to be able to get to Japan with a good conversationa l base.
Conv ersation would take priority over written, but some written practice and kanji instruction would be extremely welcome.

I AM LOOKING FOR A TEACHER THAT KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND WHO ALSO HAS A LOT OF PATIENCE. NICE CALM AND CAN ALSO HAVE FUN. I DON'T CARE IF IT IS A GIRL OR A BOY AS LONG AS THEY HAVE GREAT SKILLS IN WHAT THEY ARE TRYING TO TEACH ME.

I am a high school student with a goal of becoming a Japanese Translator/In terpreter. I have been studying Japanese by myself, but there's only so much you can learn by yourself. I know some basics but I would still consider myself a beginner. I truly love the Japanese language and culture and I would love to learn to write it, speak it, and much more! Considering most tutors live in Japan, I can only take 'classes' via online, e-mail, chat, maybe phone and fax. I'm looking for someone that can really teach me the language well even if we're not face to face. I am a true Japanese lover and I can't wait to start learning!
