I am a complete beginner to the Chinese Language. I am hoping to secure a transfer to Hong Kong in May of 2008, and learning Chinese would be a 100% guarantee of that job.
I am willing to dedicated up to 10 hours a week on lessons, however my schedule is rather hectic, and a tutor would need to accommodate.

I have taken 24 hours of university level Mandarin, which included one semester of studying abroad in Beijing during Spring 2005. Unfortunately I have not had much practice since. I am learning for career advancement and personal interest. I would like to improve all aspects of communication (speaking, writing, listening). I'm looking for 2-3 hours of class time per week (private or small classes), and am open to outside studying. I'm looking for a teacher who speaks clearly and can help correct my tones.

I am a 16 year old student who has no previous background in Mandarin Chinese. I want to learn mandarin chinese for the pleasure of learning another language and at the same time, I am aware of the fact that the world is becoming extremely globalized - China being an emerging power.I need to improve on everything - but would like to focus on conversation.
