I am a beginner. I am learning Portuguese because I have traveled to the country before and it is a favorite of mine in Europe. I am planning another trip shortly and I would really like to be able to get around there. I primarily need to work on communication /conversation skills. I do need mind much to learn how to write it.
I am finishing a Masters program, which I have waited to learn Portuguese until after I was done with my program.
I would appreciate a teacher who would help me with the accent. I am aware that the Portuguese accent is one of the most difficult.

I have just completed one year of college level Portuguese and would like to keep learning over the summer.
I am planning to study abroad in Brasil in the spring semester of this coming year, so I want to be at least an intermediate speaker by next winter. I will be taking the second level Portuguese class at my university in the fall and want to be well prepared.
I think I need the most practice at listening comprehension . I have learned all the grammar in my class, but I really need to work on vocabulary and understanding different accents.
I will most likely be working full time this summer, so I guess 2-3 hours a week is the max amout of time I can spend on actual langugage lessons.
I would like an enthusiastic, patient teacher. I would like my instructor to only speak in Portuguese and correct my mistakes when I speak incorrectly.
