I was born in Taiwan. Moved to the U.S. when I was 9 years old. I have forgotten ALL conversationa l chinese with the exception of a few words. I want to learn as if I was a beginner student. My sister will be here in August of this year. I want to learn enough conversationa l Mandarin to be able to communicate with her and her children. I will dedicate as much time as necessary to be able to do this. The class size will include my wife, son (14), daughter (12), and myself. I am looking for a patient, committed, and fun instructor as well as being able to teach my family Mandarin as quickly and efficiently as possible. Thank you for your time. I am a half-Chinese woman who was born in Taipei, Taiwan. While my family speaks 'minnan hua' at home, my Mandarin skills have suffered as a result of living in the United States for a long time. I am an intermediate Chinese student who is interested in refining my Chinese accent, expanding my business vocabulary and increasing my reading comprehension .
To start with, I would like to have 1 1-hour lesson per week. If things go well, I would like to have 1 2-hour lesson per week.
My tutor must be a native Chinese speaker. Ideally, he/she will be able to meet with me in the La Jolla UTC area or Mira Mesa area.

My friend and I have spring break now and we are really interested on improving our vietnamese. We can both speak the language (I'm not so good).Neither of us can read or write ( which we wish to achieve).We both rather be taught in person.
