Actually we are a company scheduled to implement several projects in Guinea Bissau a former portuguese colony and we are on the lookout for a person who is fluent in the portuguese language to be posted in the capital city Bissau for a duration of 1 year, as the company's Liaiason Officer. if you are aware of any suitable candidate or know anyone who fits the bill in Goa or any such place would appreciate if you could inform us.
In addition some of us would also like to learn how to speak the language (a little working knowledge of the language- for surviving in the country when on deputation there!)

i plan on doing medical mission work in brazil next year and would like to be able to communicate effectively with the people i will be serving. my current portuguese is limited to 'obrigda' and other simple phrases i learned during my last trip there. i work full time, so i don't have hours a day to spend studying, but i am willing to work hard to learn the language.
