My proficiency level would probably be above beginner but well below intermediate. I would like lessons because I am married to a Japanese citizen and have two young children. My wife is very fluent in her native language and both of my children are proficient enough that they attend Japanese schools and communicate adequately, in Japanese, with their friends. Therefore, I would like to increase my knowledge and proficiency. Some grammar would be good but I am mostly interested in conversation. I would like 1-3 hours a week instruction, depending on time and cost. I would like lessons and a teacher who will help me to learn enough conversationa l Japanese to get by with my Japanese friends and neighbors. I will be leaving Japan, for America, the 1st part of March 2007.

My Japanese proficiency level is Basic/Beginne r. I would like to learn Japanese due to personal interest. I would like to improve conversationa l speaking and reading. I would like to dedicate 3-4 hours per week to my language lessons.I would like a teacher who can structure the class for a beginner and also explain and teach in an organized, clear manner. I have studied up to mid-level at a Japanese Language School and am currently concentrating on reading and vocabulary for reading newspapers.
