I am a beginner, I know some basic sayings that I learneed from a Pimseleur C.D, but I have a lot to learn. I am very interested in language and I regret not studying it more in college. It has been a dream of mine to live in Brazil for a long time. I have been looking into programs teaching English, and I have learned that if you do not know Portuguese, you are forced to go with a program that can put you where ever they want in the country.
I need improvement in every aspect of the language. I would like to dedicate 4-6 hours per week with language lessons. I work full time, five and later and weekends will work best. I am looking for a teacher who specializes in Brazillian Portuguese who can teach me to speak with people naturally, not just in proper text book form, that is why Giselle appealed to me, being from Brazil. I feel I am a fast learner and a natural with languages, so I would like to be pushed and challenged as well.

I lived in Brazil for two years, 2004-2006. I learned a lot there and speak well, I have a good accent, but I'm forgetting a lot and want to continue where I left off. The vocabulary I know I know well, but I need to broaden my vocabulary. I am willing to dedicate as much time to learning as I can. I'm a high school student, so I can't attend classes during the day on weekdays, but besides that my schedule is rather open. Mondays and Wednesdays are my best days. I would like a teacher that is personal and outgoing. Male preferred, but not required. The language is more important to me than anything else.
