I am an intermediate level student studying Brazilian Portuguese. I'm interested in improving my skills for purposes of travel and volunteering in Brazil. 'Offline' study of grammar and vocabulary is not a problem. My biggest need is regular practice of my conversationa l and writing skills. I would enjoy a program that includes activities related to Brazilian daily life, culture, music, history, etc. I am available for weekly lessons (1 hour/week, 6 to 12 month timeframe).

I am a very motivated beginner. I have visited the beautiful city of Rio 4 times in the last four years and I am going back in Aug 2008. When I return, I want to be able to be proficient enough in the language of Portuguese to speak with my many Brazilian friends in Rio.
