I am a beginner.. I have been to China twice in the past 3 months. I have some basic skills but I really want to learn the language.. I am very driven as I will be moving to China to teach English in the next 6 months. I really want some one on one lessons as this is the way I learn the best. I would like to deciate at 2-3 lessons per week. 30 minutes to one hour.. I am looking for a teacher who is laid back and can help me learn quickly!

I am currently going to school here in Las Vegas to receive my Bachelors degree in business. I took French for three years as a child, but the lack of commitment from my mother eventually caused my lessons to come to an end. Everything I learned slowly faded as the years passed on. I recently find myself wanting, and really needing to delve into another culture and become bilingual. So the question then became what language should I learn? I went online and although I would love to learn Italian because of my Italian heritage, I find myself more excited about learning a language that more than 1.6 billion people speak, Chinese-manda rin. I am fully committed to giving my time and efforts to a teacher that will really help me become fluent in Mandarin.
