I am half Persian and have grown up hearing the language all of my life. My mother is American, but she lived in Iran with my father for a while and she speaks Farsi fluently. I would describe my proficiency level as being 'baby talk'
I know words, but I don't form sentences correctly and my accent is not good. I want to travel to Tehran next year to visit my family and it would make my grandmother very happy if I can speak Farsi better. I am a stay at home mom, so I can devote many hours a day to studying. I hope to learn from a native Iranian speaker since the Farsi spoke in other areas sounds so much different.

I would like to learn conversationa l Farsi. I speak very little at the moment but wish to learn the language as best as possible. I would at leat like to know enough to be able to have a phone conversation. Coming from an iranian background I would like to learn Farsi to be closer to my roots and to be able to speak to my grandparents. I would dedicate a couple of hours a week of lessons to be able to do this. Please get back to me as I am having great difficulty in finding someone to help me.
