I am an absolute beginner regarding the Spanish Language. I have taken some French courses at the university level, however I am not fluent in French.
I will be traveling to South America and would like just a basic vocabulary that would help me when I am abroad. I would particularily like to be able to hold small conversations (time-pending of course)!
I would like a patient and understanding teacher.

I took Spanish in Grades 11,12 and 13. I did not write or speak any Spanish for 40 years until this winter when I was in Bolivia for a couple of months. There, I took 11 one-hour classes, one-on-one. I found that while basic structure and vocabulary came back quickly, I need much more work on more complicated sentence structure, verb forms and of course vocabulary. I found that classes several times a week most useful. In the future I may find that a certain level of fluency might be helpful so I am thinking of continuing with lessons. I have no idea how much lessons might cost; in Bolivia the going rate was $US6/hour!!

I've taken a bit of Spanish in High School and have a general understanding of the language. I'm travelling to Honduras for a month in December 2005 and would like to be able to speak with the people that I'm going to encounter. I've always been extremely interested in learning the language and would like to have a teacher that makes the learning of the language easy and fun to do. I'm willing to dedicate at least 1-2 hours a week to my lessons, more if need.

I am going to be traveling the world durring the next many years and I am interested in learning a variety of languages. I would like to learn Spanish first in order to be able to communicate with my german/spanis h speeking aunt. I have no previous language training and therefore need improvement in all fields of the study. I am willing to spend up to 3 hours a week in lessons at this time.
