Beginning level. I am applying for a CORC Scholarship for the summer of 2008. I have spent 5 months in Jaipur, and northern India for personal research and spiritual purposes. I am seeking lessons in the Hindi language. I am an absolute beginner and have no past expereience with the language. I am planning on volunteeing in India sometime in the next year or two and would like to have some knowledge of the language before I go.

I can speak hindi quite well but I have forgotten how to read and write. I think I could pick it up with not much difficulty because I used to know it. I want to know hindi well because I am Indian. I need some work on my grammar too. I would like to dedicate an hour or two a week with my instructor and have few hours of hw to do on the side.

Hello,
My name is Jordan, I am 17, and I would like to begin learning Chinese. I plan on using it through out my entire life, so I plan on taking as many classes as I need to become fluent. In less then a year and a half I plan on touring parts of china, specifically Hong Kong and Beijing. I once had a exchange student from China and I plan on visiting him and his family for a period of time.
A year after returning to the U.S. I plan to go back and teach high school English for 2 years through a emersion program. There I will teach Chinese high school kids how to speak basic English and grammar.
C urrently I plan on taking a number of Martial arts classes and I would love to be able to communicate with my teachers on a higher level.
Wha t I'm looking for in a teacher is someone who is patient and knows how to make learning more interactive. I am flexible on what times to sqeudual lessons. Times after 3:30 are best. Hopefully 2-3 times a week minimum to 5 times max.

I am a beginner, having taken two w/e seminars a few years ago. I want to learn Sanskrit (NOT HINDI) because it is the mother tongue and very beautiful. I want the language to be remembered. Sanskrit isn't exactly a conversatonal language. I want to be ble to read and understand it. I would like to meet weekly or everyother week and study the lesson inbetween.
I want a teacher who fully respects this holy language and conveys the sacredness through teaching.
Hi story of the Bajans, sacred tales would be delightful as well.
