I am learning these languages for many reasons: I want to travel the places that speak these languages, I love the way the languages sound when spoken, also, I know there are more career opportunities for people who can speak many languages. I took Spanish for three years with my school, but, started taking Chinese. I do not want to forget the Spanish I have already learned, and, I want to learn more. i have not taken French, but, I would love to speak French and plan on travelling to France. I know very little German; My mother spoke fluent German to me when I was a child. I do not know and Irish Gaelic, but, plan on travelling there, and, possibly living there in the future.

My mother is Thai and came to the U.S. when she was really young. Her speaking level in Thai is not high enough for her to teach me the language. We are traveling to Thailand next year to see our family I haven't seen since I was young and I would love to learn the language enough to communicate and understand fairly well. I would say my level is beginner for sure, but I am willing to put in a great amount of time for lessons.
