I am at a fairly advanced level of farsi and was a student of it a few years ago and would like to maintain and expand my vocabulary with soap operas, movies, articles, stories and conversation. I could look at spending 2 to 6 hours a week of instruction.

I was born in Tehran and I lived there until I was 11 and I could speak at an intermedlevel . I moved to America and all I spoke since is English. I forgot most of the farsi I learned so I need to re-learn to a fluent level for personal reasons. I have a lot of time on my hands.

I want to learn Dari to be able to have a closer relationship with my family-in-law . (My husband and his family are Afghan.) I speak with him in English, but I would really like to be able to communicate more with his parents, and also to be able to understand as he teaches our future children Dari.
I am a complete beginner - I just know a handful of words, but I'm very enthusiastic! I studied languages at university so am naturally interested in learning a new language.
Ideally, I'd probably like one class a week, but could dedicate time every day to practicing either on my own or with my husband.
I 'm looking for a teacher who doesn't mind me asking questions about pronunciation (for example, I'm keen to get the emphasis on the right syllable in a word), who is friendly and encouraging.
