I spent three years in college studying Mandarin, and also spent a semester abroad in Beijing. My husband's family is Chinese, and I am learning so as to be able to communicate with his family. We also want whatever children we may have to learn Chinese. I have not practiced for two years and my profiency level has gone way down. I need to take some classes to relearn everything.

I am a complete beginner in Dutch, however, I have a little experience with German, though some time has gone by since I have had a chance to practice much. I am planning a trip to Rotterdam, and so would enjoy speaking the local language, instead of simply English. I am interested in devoting a few hours a couple of days a week, and am looking for a patient, but fast moving teacher who focuses on conversationa l fluency more then written accuracy.

My wife and I are trying to expand on our begginer level Thai so that we are more able to communicate with our friends and family in Thailand. We need to advance in vocab, structure, pronunciation , conversation, everything really. Our desire is to focus on verbal skills first and reading writing second.
