I woud like to learn the irish Gaelic language, I'm a complete beginner and Id like to learn it for creative purposes, Im Northern Irish and have always wanted to learn my native arcaic tongue. I'd like a friendly teacher preferably based in North London, camden/kentis h town area as this is where i am based. Profile
Pro ficiency: I have leaving certificate honours Irish (achieved grade B3) in 2000. I have not spoken much Irish since (9 years) therefore my level would be basic conversation.
Why I want to learn more: I have been accepted for interview on the Hibernia course for the higher diploma in Primary School teaching and I am required to complete an interview in Irish.
Are as for improvement: I would like to be able to hold a fluent conversation in Irish and become more familiar with teaching terminology through Irish.
Tim e available to dedicate: I will be available to attend lessons in the evenings (after 7pm) as I currently hold a full time job and I can also do weekends. I would like to spend whatever time is necessary over the next month to build up my Irish.
Tea cher Qualities: Well organised, easy-going teaching approach. Preferably mid-to-late twenties but not too fussed. One-to-one teaching experience and fluent in Irish with excellent grammer is a must.
